Our Company

Introduction

Premium Grain Handlers (PGH) was formed in April 1995 by partners John Orr and Henry Little, with the Craig Mostyn group joining the company in November 1997. The business was established with the objective of leading the Western Australian grain industry in providing reliable, high quality grain, pulse and oilseed products and processing services, consistent with international specialty market requirements.

PGH offers an efficient and flexible grain supply, storage, cleaning, processing, bagging and container packing service. It is professional, reliable, accredited with Australian Quarantine Inspection Service (AQIS) quality certification, and appropriately located on the Fremantle wharf to minimise the handling costs. All products are supplied either bulk or bagged in 20 foot containers. Generally supply is available all months of the year, however some products in short production are only available for orders received between November and February.

Growers:

PGH has developed close relationships with the top growers in Western Australia in terms of reliability and grain quality. These growers benefit from the specialty grain, pulse and oilseed market opportunities presented through PGH, along with the company's efficient product grid receival and timely payment services.

Receival Storage

PGH offers grain receival and storage services, specialising in providing precise quality and variety segregation for servicing niche markets. This includes receival facilities in Fremantle with specific receival standards determined by the individual market. The Fremantle storage facilities are completely sealed for controlled atmoshpere fumigation purposes.

Cleaning & Processing

A modern grain cleaning plant has been constructed at the Rous Head Industrial Park in North Fremantle. This plant is equipped with industrial Aspirators, Scalpers, Screeners, Clippers, Gravity Tables, automatic bagging machinery and quality monitoring equipment, enabling PGH to satisfy the most stringent grain quality requirements.

Container Packing & Handling

A container crane gantry has been assembled to operate the full width of the Rous Head facility. This crane discharges empty containers from trucks so that a number of containers can be loaded simultaneously or as the product becomes available and stored on the premises until shipment date.
